Interest for money in the account is accrued on a tiered basis that varies by daily balance, with 0.05%APY on a balance of $250,000 as the highest available option. This account is the perfect option for customers who want some of the perks of the Premier Checking account but anticipate having a lower account balance. The biggest downside to the account is that it does not accrue interest. However, it does offer on-the-go banking, a discount on the first order of checks, free mobile banking, online banking with free Bill Pay and e-bills. TD Bank also provides customers with free online statements, live customer support 24/7, rates of 0.25% on TD Bank home equity lines of credit, and no fees when using a TD Bank ATM. Account holders can avoid paying the $15 monthly maintenance fee by keeping a minimum daily balance of $100.
4. Chase Premier Plus Checking – $300 bonus
Earn the $300 bonus by opening a Premier Plus Checking Account and making a direct deposit into the account within 60 days. Customers will receive a coupon for opening the account and must bring it to a Chase branch before January 18, 2018. If the account is closed within six months of opening, either by the customer or by Chase, the bonus will be deducted from the account.
Customers can have their $25 monthly service fee waived by maintaining a daily minimum of $15,000 in the account or in any combination of linked qualified Chase accounts.
5. Chase Total Checking – $200 bonus
The $200 cash bonus is available to qualified new customers who add at least $25 to their account at opening and complete a direct deposit of a paycheck, pension, or government benefit within 60 days.
