Breeze Card Balance Check – Reload Breeze Card Guide (2022)
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority operates the Breeze card, a stored value smart card that allows riders to pay in advance. The card makes the transit system in Atlanta much more efficient via this automated fare collection system.
Please note you must tap your Breeze card within 30 days of purchase to activate the reload value. Untapped Breeze cards will lose value if not activated within this period, and you will not be allowed to collect the money at a later date.
How do I check my Breeze Card balance?
Looking to check the balance of your Breeze card issued by the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority?
Call 404-848-5000 and follow the prompts until you hear the “check a balance.” You can also visit balance.breezecard.com/breezeWeb/jsp/web/cardnumberweb and input your Breeze card serial number to obtain the card’s current balance.

Can I add money to my Breeze Card online?
You can add money to your Breeze Card by visiting a Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority station faregate, vending machine, or bus farebox.
How long is a Breeze Card good for?
Don’t get stuck out in the rain with an expired Breeze card! The Breeze Card is the MARTA and regional transit fare card and expires 3 years from the date it was issued. You must obtain a new card after three years, or you will not be able to participate in the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority program.

Can two people use 1 Breeze card?
Looking to get by on the cheap and use one card for you and your wife?
Sorry, Charlie! Two people are not allowed to use the same Breeze card. When traveling with your wife or in a group, each person must have their Breeze Card or ticket.
